Cityscape Locker Hooking (with FREE Pattern)

This last year, crafting has kept my mind sane, my hands busy, and my heart full.

Shortly after discovering Locker Hooking through The Crafter’s Box, I have fallen completely in love. I started with the trivets, and moved onto “mug rugs” (aka coasters), and finished off with the add-on kit to do a larger rainbow wall hanging. It’s so relaxing to sit and work on a big project and see the progress right before your eyes. Definitely instant gratification!

So when I finished my rainbow wall hanging, I had so much leftover product (thanks Crafter’s Box for that!), that I decided to design my own wall hanging for my son’s room: My Cityscape Project

I absolutely love how this turned out. I had the pattern in my head forever and finally got it down in illustrator at my mom’s house one day while the kids played (thank you illustrator for ipad!). I originally made the pattern smaller, and decided later to double every square to make it a larger hanging.

As you can see, I used different colours than I had in the pattern, which is my favourite part. You can use any colour wool you have! The small one would be great for a scrap-busting project.

If you end up making it, please tag me @sweetgreenstudios on Instagram. I would love to see your creations!
